What is Cross Stitch?
Cross stitch is rather popular form of embroidery, the method used is mainly by counting the stitches in order to form a picture. As mentioned, crosses X are the main idea of the embroidery. The tools are simply the design (namely cross-stitch chart), a needle, threads and a cloth (mainly aida cloth). Most companies provide everything in a package known as cross stitch kit and can bought off the shelves from retail shops that deal with handicrafts. The price ranges from S$5 to S$100 depending on the complexity and size of the design. For example, a puppy design of 10cm by 10cm comparing with a full landscape design of Mount Fuji of 200cm by 100cm.
